Hi Everyone This Is Dave From Peach Android
stop code at UK and this is my review of the UK Touch 2 mobile phone now I wasn’t sure about this phone before I received it purely because it’s a Windows mobile device and I’ve always been or recently been certainly used to Google powered devices with the Android operating system, but I must admit I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this UK touch-now before I show you the handset itself I’m just going to show you what you get inside the box. This is an unlocked version, so it’s not. I tied it to any particular network inside here you get a UK cable. This can be used for synchronizing or charging the device and we get a power adapter for the wall UK connection on the bottom for charging and then you get an adapter plate for your. Your specific country which slots on to the adapter like so and then charges the device also in here.
We Get A Little Pack With A Headset
built-in microphone in this little capsule part here and a little push to talk button there. So you can accept to make calls via the hands-free and then there’s a little clip there for attaching it to your shirt and some little sponges to make it more comfortable in the air. It’s um nothing flash it just gets the job done. It’s not too bad audio quality, although you could probably do better if you replace this with something a later stage now moving on to the handset itself. The UK Touch 2 has a Qualcomm 528 megahertz processor inside now that’s not very fast on paper, but the user interface certainly does feel very snappy.
Indeed Is Only Hiccups Really Oh Yes.
When you have a lot of applications running at the same time Now you’ve got a 2. 8 inch touchscreen on the front of the device. I’ll show you that switched on in a minute and you’ve also got this touch sensitive area here which has got a zoom area on it so when you’re in things like the gallery, you can zoom up and down on your photos now just to give you a closer look along the bottom of the device. Things are actual hard keys here.
Weve Got A Call Start And A Call
end button. The call end button also doubles as your power switch. We’ve got a home button which takes you back to the home screen. We’ve got windows button there, which gives you access to your Start menu and we’ve got a back button here which takes you back one step base of the handset All We’ve got There is the mini UK connection for charging or synchronizing the device. This side of the handset is clear with the exception that you do get a stylus included.
You Wont Need That Very Often
but when you delve into some of the settings and you will need to use the stylus top of the device nice to see. We’ve got a standard three and a half mil headphone jack on the on the top there and then this side of the devices is where you gain access to your micro UK card and you also got a volume rocker switch now just while we’re on the subject of memory, you do get 256 megabytes of built-in. in the device and you can obviously expand your storage capacity via the micro UK card around the back of the unit. We have got a 3. 2 megapixel fixed-focus camera.

It Doesnt Perform Very Well.
There’s no flash. It’s just adequate it does an Ok job. If you’ve got well-lit sub and also gesture to know I mentioned about charging the device. I’m not going to take the back off but inside.
Here Is An 1100 Milliamp Hour Battery
now on medium use. I would sound in three to four days between charges and if I’m using it heavily so a lot of video playback listening to some music etc. Then I’m getting around about two days between charges So let’s take a look at the user interface, which is what you really want to see if I just hit the home button here turns on the display shows the current time and also get a sliding padlock symbol here. If I had emails waiting for me, then this would also display extra sliding devices or padlocks further down and I could just slide the one for emails and it would take me straight into my email application but for now I’m going to just unlock the device completely. This is the home screen displays the weather.
Weve Got The Start Button Here Weve Got
the normal status bar, which you can drag down with with all of UK devices similar to what you get on Google Android. You’ve shown me. I’ve got an own new notifications. It’s also showing me I’ve. Got 50% battery life on connected viaNK] and I’ve been on the mobile web for this amount of time 84 hours 19 minutes go back to the home screen now I can scroll along these various some screens here on a Google Android Android device you would swipe between screens, whereas here you use this sort of icon driven bar at the bottom here.
This First Ones For Contacts Then Across
the messages then across to emails and then it gives you a brief summary of the email that your view that you’re viewing you can swipe through the emails to get a summary of each one. You’ve received then you can go on to internet and in here you can launch your browser or you can scroll up to go to your bookmark, which is rather nice in here. I can go into photos and videos again. Again I can scroll through by swiping up when I see a photo. I want to view I can tap on it and that takes me right into the gallery and then I can use this zoom slider here to zoom in and out of the photo and then pan around it with my finger on the main screen.
I Want To Go Back One
step. I just hit the back button here that takes me back out to the previous gallery view I’ve also got shortcuts here to photos and videos so that’s another nice way of getting into things quickly. It’s also got a music player so I can scroll along to music excuse me so back onto music and from here. I can play the currently viewed album that’s there or I can scroll up and down the various MP3s that are stored on my device playing. It or hit play starts playing or speaker built into the device and it doesn’t do a bad job of playing back.
Ill Pump Up That Volume A
little bit for you, so it goes fairly loud and certainly loud enough to to playback your music whilst you’re out and about if you’re playing back through to three and a half mil headphone Jack You do get a rather nice sound. It’s not bad at all those paws that go across the weather. This is also displayed on the home screen, but if you go actually into the weather app you can scroll up and down various countries that you’ve added to the device and it displays the current weather as well as a forecast for the next five days we go back across to the next UK along which is map search and here you’ll be searching the maps. which is powered by Google MAps, so nice additions at the handset there and then this last icon along is sort of what the one before last is the Settings menu and here you can access various settings for the phone such as here We’re looking at communications for Bluetooth UK pushing email data Communications, etc. So fully configurable.
We Can Click All Settings Here As
well which takes us into the all settings menu and here we’ve got an icon driven menu for doing even more settings on the handset than that previous one allowed for go back one stage and then go pull across to this very last icon here, which is for programs and here we’ve got a scrollable list of the various applications that are installed on the handset and you can add more as you go on. So it’s like a shortcut to sort of. larger icons a lot easier for launching your apps. If I go back out to the home screen and just tap start. You can see that here we can access all of the content of the handset again via this icon driven interface now UK have put touch flow over the UK on the UK touch.
Theyve Done A Very Nice Job.
It works very well indeed except when you have to delve in to some of the settings when you’re delving into settings for some of the applications. The icons do get a tiny bit small and you end up having to reach for that stylus so what I don’t like on this handset right I don’t like the camera. I don’t think that performs very well at all I don’t like Windows Mobile.
Its A Fiddly User Interface To Use When
you delve into the settings What I do like is the Touchflo interface. I think UK have done a decent job of trying to make the windows mobile operating system friendly to use I like the build quality I like the handset design. It’s a nice solid handset. It doesn’t feel too big in the hand and I do like the battery life getting that two to four days between charges is absolutely stunning now The UK Touch 2 is going to cost you around about 275 pounds in the UK or about $500 in the U.
