This is the first tool review. I’ve done in a little while and this is one that I’m doing purely because I bought this inspection camera on Amazon and it is in my Amazon store, but Don’t click on the link to that just yet yeah it was so cheap. I was like let’s just see what a cheap inspection camera can do is it up to the job. Can we use it as plumbers and as tradesmen and is it worth having in our toolbox and the money carry on watching the video to find out But before I shove this camera up my bum Don’t worry.

So then This is the depth stack or I just keep wanting to call it dipstick version This is the industrial endoscope Okay now I’ve had appendicitis in my time and I know what a Colonoscopy feels like and I’ve got to say when I saw this thing it did make me shudder a little bit um everyone who’s had that movie prep the day before will know what I’m on about Harry have you ever had a Colonoscopy too young Aren’t you it’s not nice when we unbox it it’s fairly straightforward what you get in the box. You’ve got the actual camera and the battery the on and off the light and everything is all in one thing okay which for me I’d say is quite nice because it’s you know there’s nothing really to lose and it’ll fit nicely in your box as well. Oh and then. Inside that we’ve got a little sort of set of adapters and bits and bobs that we can put on the end and then some very basic instructions as well.
Now.
I say they’re very basic because this is a incredibly basic camera and device. All I had to do to get this to work was charge it up with the standard little charger that we’ve got in there would you call that an HTC charger UsB c in it my micro Usb charger there um and that’s pretty much it. You turn it on it emits a wi-fi signal you go onto your phone wherever my phone is where’s my bloody phone so I downloaded depth tech view looks a bit like that switch it to on you’ll see a little light on the side of it come on nice and easily and then it will come out. the app there it is depth deck you join that then you go back to the app and hey Presto and there we go actually look on here now I can actually present to it.

everyone welcome to this week’s plumber parts video so look closer look at this. The actual thing itself is on now and if we look over there you’re actually going to see Harry there he is holding the camera way to everyone Harry so what you can do is firstly you can take this thing off and this is a right angled like adapter piece. This is this will be the piece that has a plumber. You will probably use the most um so that just comes off like that and that lives in this little box here with all the other adapters when we’ve got it. Like this it looks straight on like that and you’ll see Harry over there now now firstly one of the major improvements.
I Think They Could Do With This Is
having some sort of indication as to which orientation is upwards so if I look over there at the moment if I twist it round that’s probably yeah that’s upwards there in it Harry here so that’s up with there so basically I’d say put a little bit of tip x or something like that on the top of it. So you know which way is up um another thing and I like to I like doing reviews right that are just you know not all oh you should buy this you should buy that I’m just going to tell you about it and it’s up to you to make your own decisions. You’re all adults all right it’s pretty. Long hold that actually Harry just hold that in I mean that’s gotta go that’s gotta be two meters long and it easy that’s really long man yeah two meters long there all right so yeah and the rest probably you’re right so that’s very long, but the one thing I would say is you’d probably be able to feed this down a pipe, but as soon as you came up to like a 90-degree bend or something like that unless you’re really lucky it’s not going to go around that corner you’re only going to get the ability to steer the head of one of these. If you spend the extra money.
This Is Literally 25 Quid Worth
of stuff here, but you can see why it’s that much you know I still think it’s really good and I’ll show you in a minute what I would use. it for now there’s another little thing on here as well that I think is really cool because we’ve got all these little adaptory bits in number one a hook, so this is going to be good for if you’re going to drop something here you drop something down a hole. You can use the hook and look. We can actually see the hook on the camera there so we can let’s try and hook something like that it’s quite hard to use actually if I go there I can see it. Oh Yeah look at that yeah now I’ve got it that wasn’t a great demonstration of that.

But You Get The Idea Thats What
I’m trying to say Yeah the other thing it’s got on it as well that I kind of think is a little bit pointless because it’s quite difficult to use and see this at. The same time is it’s got like a little magnet attachment on the end, but you can’t you can’t see past it so once it’s on. I mean you have it on like that and if we look at the screen. I suppose you can sort of see stuff. So if you want to pick up something like that that does that okay the reason us plumbers want one of these is to inspect things that we want to.
We Want To Be Able To
see under a floor looking for a pipe that’s got a leak on it or something like that and the best way and also in walls in like dry walls. If there’s a leak or in stud walls, you’re going to use this attachment so this allows us to pop a small hole through a wall and then use the 90 degree angle on this. to see around yeah so for instance, let’s drill a hole in let’s drill a hole in something so we’ve got that camera up there now and then you stick it through and look at that you can actually look at the pipe all the way up there and you can twist it and look all the way down there now imagine you know it doesn’t take a great sort of philosopher or something like that to imagine the fact that that’s quite handy for me as a plumber, but there’s another thing that this does if we look on the end and I thought I’d keep this to the end of the video actually always me. To the end of the video. We’ve actually got a little light on it.
I Dont Know Look Down A
pipe like this there’s a problem with this pipe and look you can. inspect things like the soldering if you wanted we could go down even further through the pipe until we get to a bend guys man. You see how much solder is in the bottom of that bend there that’s pretty cool though being how to do that and you’ll probably be able to inspect the inside of a tank because there’s one other thing that’s really cool about this it’s waterproof. I think it’s like IP70 something or other so it’s it’s very waterproof that’s about all I can say isn’t it has let’s see if Harry’s there yeah so for 20 quid to have something like this in your box that talks to your phone and also allows you to film stuff. So you can film a bit like that film.
Harry Stood There And Then Save That
into your files as well. You can then send that to. your customer or keep it there for your own sort of reference When you’re thinking about a job or something like that there’s other things you can do like you can change the resolution you can reset the wi-fi as well. If you don’t want it to keep linking up to your phone automatically, which these can do um but for 20 quid to have one of these in your toolbox. I actually think it’s a pretty good idea.
Its Nice To Have I Mean
it’s so long as well. You can get it down soil pipes things like that another thing it’s not like some of them have that sort of concertina bit on them yeah and if you’re putting them down a saw pipe. You know with stuff down there and that gets caught in the concertina. It’s pretty purely in it clearing all that off with this. Just going to give it a wipe down lick it off even you’ll be fine it’s lovely so yeah there we go depth deck you’ve actually done something pretty decent There.
