I Reviewed This Budget Gimbel The Other Day

and one of the key complaints I had about it is that my phone when it was mounted in here was picking up the motor noise from the gimbal. So I’m hoping that this will be the solution. This is the Sara Manik I mic. It’s a little microphone that plugs into the audio jack of the phone. Now my phone is a Lumia 735.

It Mounts In The Gimbal This Way

and the microphone is that tiny tiny little chip out of the screen. There looks like actually a crack in the screen, but it’s nice a little hole. Mike friends of that end right next to where the motors are the audio jack is at this end. So I’m hoping that this will be a full solution to the problem, so let’s just have a quick look at it you. Don’t get very much in the box Warranty Card Silica Gel, a little microphone which is nicely made and it’s got a little hinge in the middle I’ve seen other models that have a gooseneck flexible bit there and a microphone that’s actually rather cunningly shock mounted it’s got little rubber shock mounting there, which is going to be good for insulating it from vibration noise and a windsock which will be useful to me because I’m intending chiefly to use this outdoors that could be fun to get on it looks like it could be a little bit tight, but will ever go out there in a minute anyway.

So I Think The First Thing To Do

is to test this with my phone now in order to get a microphone working with a phone jack. The phone obviously has to be at a support an external mic and. In most cases, when they do support an external mic they need one like this We’ve got four conductors on the 3. 5 millimeter jack plug here, which is what they call trrs which is tip ring ring sleeve let’s get started and just plug that in it plugs in very nicely and it seems to work quite well.

I Think That Will Be Quite Good

for me. If I’ve got that mounted in the gimbal and assuming it works that’ll be quite good directing to my voice. So even if I’m doing whether I’m doing selfies or whether I’m doing nature videos or whatever When the facing camera that microphone can be either pointed at me or it can be pointed to the subject so let’s see if it records properly. This is a test recording of the Sara Manik I mic.

This Is A Test Recording Of The Sara.

Manik I mic okay so this is me recording with the microphone in place We’ll just go choir minute now little gimbal around a little bit, so we can see if we generate some motor noise that should be enough okay. So in conclusion the ceremony guy Mike seems actually pretty good. I noticed an appreciable increase in quality on the sound recording when I was just using the microphone in the phone.

However, It Doesnt Rescue This Gimbal From Being

a noisy buzzy product. So I don’t know I just don’t think this gimbal is actually going to be matte very much used to me the Sarah Molokai Mike. On the other hand, great little piece of kit I’m actually too very thoroughly pleased with that thanks for watching I hope to see you again soon.
